Fall, Where Art Thou??

We cannot wait for fall!!  Not because of football season (ugh), not because of Halloween (as if), but because of the fashion!!!  Don't get us twisted; we love spring time and summer is fun, but the fall season is when we get to wear fierce stiletto boots and modish trench coats that cover up distressed t-shirts and sleek jeans.  We are giddy with excitement!

During this glorious season that God created (obviously with fashion on His marvelous mind), you can layer your shirts, go with a cool boho style by wearing a long sweater coat over an everyday look, or mix summer staples with fall staples like the beauty did above with her jean shorts, long sleeve shirt, and booties.  Your fall wardrobe has the potential to possess endless possibilities depending on your geographical location.

We are predicting a lot of two piece outfits for the fall (as seen above). This trend was booming this summer, and we see no reason for it to exit the fashion world just yet.  Besides, if it's not booming this fall, we will still rock this trend.  After all, we are fashionably liberated....duh.

66th Emmys - Red Carpet Looks

The 66th Emmy Awards blah blah blah blah.....with all of that out of the way, let's get to the exciting part of the Emmys; the red carpet!!!  The fashion on the red carpet was very interesting.  We did not stamp this red carpet as the most fashionable; however, some stars did show up and show out while other stars gave us fashion nightmares.  Check out our red carpet review of the Emmys below.

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier

This is our top pick.  This black beauty is classic, and the white train gives the gown that unique style.  We can't believe this is the girl who played the weirdo, Janis Ian, in Mean Girls!

Matthew McConaughey in Dolce & Gabbana and Camila Alves in Zuhair Murad

They look like mannequins!  Wow!! If there is a such thing as fashion perfection, this is it!  We love the non-traditional, blue tuxedo on Matthew, and Camila shines in this timeless, see-through piece.  We love simple, elegant looks that make statements!

Taylor Schilling in Zuhair Murad

Simplicity works on Taylor.  This nude-colored gown bleeds right into her skin, and it looks awesome!  The beading is incredile, and the tailoring is perfect.

Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano

Her stylist nailed this one!  The crop top and full skirt will never get old in our book.  Just when the fashion world was weaning itself off of formal crop tops, Sarah made us think twice.  Good job Sarah; stunning look!

Keke don't hurt 'em like that *waves church fan*!  This child has made us so proud!  She stole the show in this blue, bodacious gown.  She looked amazing!

Last Minute Beach Swag

The end of summer is near and what better way to conclude it than being fashionably liberated on the beach?!  Although we love summer dresses, cut-off shorts, tank tops, and maxi skirts; our favorite summer attire is beach wear!  Check out our beach swag below.

Game Day Fashion

It is football season;  everyone is anxiously anticipating these fun-filled game days with friends and family.  The music will be blasting, the sports arguments will be heated, the drunken crowds will be rowdy, and the food will be burning.  The only other thing that will need to be on point for these tailgating extravaganzas and action-packed football games are our attire ladies.

A lot of ladies find it difficult to locate something to wear to tailgating parties and football games.  Most ladies want to be stylish and comfortable simultaneously because the atmosphere is very relaxed but vibrant.  To prevent you from being stuck in your closet wondering what you will wear on game day while everyone else is throwing back beers and attempting to do the electric slide inebriated, we are going to give you some suggestions on fly game day attire.

The go-to outfit for game day is your favorite team’s t-shirt and some jeans or shorts.  It is great to show your spirit and be supportive, but do it in style.  Take that boring t-shirt and cut the neck out, or cut the bottom off and crop it.  You can even cut holes in the shirt or cut the sleeves off to give it a vintage look.  Also, spice up your jeans or shorts by slicing them up or cutting the thighs out.  When it gets cold, throw some printed leggings under your cut up jeans and shorts and strut your stuff across the field.

If you are tired of wearing the popular team-spirit, t-shirt look, go with a skater dress that represents your team colors.  Throw some combat boots on with the dress and call it a day.  This flirty look will keep you cool and comfortable.

Another comfortable look for a game day setting is joggers. Joggers or harem pants, a cute crop top, and some fresh high-top tennis shoes will have you looking cute while shouting the wrong play during half-time.

Good luck to all football teams this year; and ladies, may the fashion funk be with you!

Danny Pants

Fall is near, and we are loving the fashion line up!  Bright colors and normcore wear will be popular this season, and this post highlights both of those trends.  For those of you who aren't familiar with normcore, it is average clothing (t-shirts, jeans, boots, etc.), unisex clothing (clothing that both men and women can wear), and pantsuits for women.  This is a cool category for fashion because it is more laid-back, and it does not require too much mixing and matching.

The Danny Pants outfit kind of reminds us of some of the shorts and blazers we witnessed Julia Roberts wear in the epic, romantic movie "Pretty Woman."  We literally studied her wardrobe in that movie!  So we decided to recreate one of her many stylish looks the modern way.  Check out the outfit details below.

THE Pants

Remember these pants from the 90s?  Well they are back, and we are all for them!  Culottes bring something different to the table other than your regular pair of jeans, shorts, or pants.  To us, culottes look the best when worn with stilettos, tennis shoes, or maybe even flats.  They are casual pants that can be transformed into work pants or dressy pants.  We are sure that you will see a lot of these during the fall/winter 2014 fashion season.  We are definitely digging them.  Click the words below to scope out a pair at ASOS.com

Fashion Must-haves: Stand Out

Shopping can become tiring and frustrating.  To some, shopping is a hobby and a favorite pastime, to others shopping is dreadful.  To the ladies who do not appreciate the ground work of shopping, we researched some items that will keep your closet on point therefore preventing you from having to make several trips to the mall.  These items will also help build your wardrobe as well as make you stand out in a crowd.  Without further ado, let’s get to your new wardrobe.

White Tuxedo Jacket:  Add this jacket to a dress for a special event or dress it down with some jeans; either way this could match up with almost anything in your closet.

Eye-Catching Heels:  You need those go-to heels that wow the crowd and allow you to keep your outfit simple.

Polka Dot Blouse:  This print is classic and can go from work to weekend.  It looks good dressed up or down.

Bright Bag/Clutch:  A bright clutch is so fun to have on those night outs on the town.  This bag can be paired with all of your outfits and it adds that spark.

Sparkly Dress:  Every girl must own a sparkly dress for those special nights such as Christmas parties, New Year Eve parties, or just fun nights in the city.

Investment Bag:  One good, leather purse will be with you for a lifetime.  Invest in a bag that won't break when you put your keys inside.  This can be your all-purpose bag.

LBD:  The little black dress is classic and a necessity.  Get one now!

Black Heels:  Neutral colored heels come in handy all the time.  A black pair of heels will be worn at least two times a week - trust us.

Skinny Pants:  Skinny pants speak for themselves.  This trend is here to stay.  Whether they are jeans or leather skinny pants, you need to own at least one pair!  They give you a sleek, long look and go excellent with heels and boots.

Studded Flats:  Sometimes your feet get tired of walking in heels all day.  When this time comes, get you a snazzy pair of flats that will allow you to be cute and comfortable.

Oxfords:  These shoes are it.  When you want to switch your style up from heels or girlie flats, these are the shoes to go to.

Pencil Skirt:  The pencil skirt is so versatile, timeless, and lady-like.  Instead of going with the usual black pencil skirt, try a print one.  This will give you more leeway when trying to match it with shoes, shirts, and jackets.
