Pop it off....

Color, color, color!!!!  We love a pop of color!  It's the "boom" to any outfit.  We've been seeing a lot of neon colors this season, and it looks so fun!  We love the outfit below because the skirt is the focal point as it should be.  Try to picture this outfit with a black skirt.....it would work but it wouldn't be as exciting as this one is.  The skirt really took this ensemble to another level.  Also, the denim blouse and black bow-tie work perfectly together....BRAVO!

Side note:  These mini, pleated skirts are booming right now.  Look for Chokolat Creme to invest in this trend and make it our own real soon.

NOLA Fashion Week attire....

New Orleans was beautiful yesterday.  Not because of the perfect weather and the insanely delicious food, but because of the Fashion!  We saw so many Fashionably Liberated people that it was amazing! New Orleans Fashion Week really brought the Fashion beast out of a lot of people. It was a true movement taking place yesterday.   There were neon colors, funny hats, high-heels, leather shorts, prints, and everything else under the Fashion sun being thrown around and mixed and matched. It felt like Fashion Heaven!

Skating on 'em...

Ripped jeans with print leggings underneath?  Yessssss!  This is an excellent idea when wearing torn jeans.  It spices up your outfit and gives it edge.  It's also a good idea for the ladies who want to wear ripped jeans but don't want to expose too much skin.  This is fire!

A way of life...

Essence.com's Fashion Editor, Celia Smith, looks effortlessly fly in this get-up.  We love how she fused three different looks into one.  She mixed sexy with classy and topped it off with a little street.  This look is a masterpiece because it covers different aspects of fashion, and it can go from a day outfit to a night ensemble easily.  Ms. Celia has definitely been baptized into the movement!

Ultraviolet fashion...

It's all about bright colors for the Spring.  Ladies, let's shine this season by mixing loud colors like neon yellows and metallic golds.  Our audience wants a show, so let's blind them!

Levels...

This ensemble is genius!  It's simple yet complicated, and that's why we are digging it.  It's a black, turtle-neck sweater accompanied by jeans, boots, and a nice bag....but it gets better; adding that off-the-shoulder, adorned sweatshirt took it to that "fashionably-liberated level!"   We love seeing styles like this because it challenges us to let our fashion imagination go wild!

Simplicity is resounding....

Fashion has gone in many different directions.  In some cases it is becoming very complex with all of the new trends that have surfaced, but we are here to remind the fashion world not to forget simple!  This is why we appreciate the fashion statement above because it reminds us that the basics are still hot!  A pair of distressed jeans, a nice top, and dainty heels can compete with high-waist skirts and mixed patterns any day.  It's always fun to turn your outfit up a notch and to experiment with fashion, but don't forget the basics.  Sometimes less really is more.

Sporty Chic...

We are so into mixing the sporty look with the chic look! DKNY's Fall/Winter 2014 sporty collection inspired us.  Nowadays, we are always looking for a way to incorporate a SnapBack or casual shirt into a classy look.  We are definitely excited about where fashion is going! Liberation!!!!!

Oversize it...

Remember when our blue-jean jackets had to be short and fitted?  Well say goodbye to those times.  We are taking it way back to the Cyndi Lauper days when the jackets and the hair were big!  The baggy blue-jean jacket phase is hot; especially when the jacket has a distressed look.  This jacket looks best to us when it's worn with fitted clothes underneath.  It's such a sexy, tom-boy look.  We can't wait to make this trend our own.

Four and Fierce...

Is this not the most adorable, eccentric model you've ever seen?  This 4-year-old puts most designers to shame.  She makes her dresses out of paper!  Whenever Mayhem (the name her mother calls her) is inspired by a look, she gets fashionably creative with construction paper, tulle, or whatever she finds around the house!  Read more of this amazing story here.  It makes us want to step our fashion game up!
