It's the Winter's Turn

There is nothing more precious than a vintage, mink coat!  Your outfit can be as plain as day, but when you add an exquisite piece like a mink coat to the whole look, your outfit will speak volumes.  To complete this outfit, all that was needed was some worn jeans, over-the-knee boots, and a black tee.  This is the ultimate "rich-girl" look.

Bow to the Brows

Whether you wear makeup or not, brows are always the center of attention.  They top off any fierce, fashion outfit.

This look was created for a Fall photo shoot.  I wanted to do a soft and natural look to match the wardrobe of the shoot.  To get this exact brow look, use a dark brown eye shadow and a small angle brush: start at the top lining of the brows to form the shape and extend downward and out to form the arch. Always keep in mind to never extend past the edge of your eye. Lastly, blend from bottom to top to complete the brow process.  After all of this is done, take a step back and Bow to the Brows.

Lebron 12: The Ultimate Kicks

The Nike Lebron 12 tennis shoes are coming out sooner than you think - today, December 19, 2014!  These shoes retail for $200 and would be a great gift for the holidays.

I am loving these kicks because the colors allow you to match them with anything; great thinking Lebron!  Shoes that allow you to wear almost any color with them are genius.  My ideal outfit with these kicks would be a neon yellow tie-dye shirt, baby blue skinny jeans, and a black and neon pink bucket hat.

Miss Little Black Bob

Photo Credit. Retrieved November 15, 2014.

Bobbing but obviously not weaving (her hair is real); Miss Little Black Bob is spicing up social media with her stoic fashion and her perfectly shaped bob hairdo. Her style coupled with her sleek mane makes her an interesting subject to follow.

We are digging the way she intertwines her fashion with her hairstyle and that she keeps both of those elements simple and sassy.  Miss LBB vibes off neutral colors like black and brown.  She keeps her looks to a minimum by adding little to no accessories except for her always flawlessly, beat bob. Check out six reasons below why she has been crowned as our style crush this week.

1. She killed this textured look and completed it with leather knee boots over leather pants; a very difficult look to conquer, but she did that.  Oh, and her hair was laid!

2. She takes “all black everything” to a new level by incorporating black lipstick, a black dress, boots, and her black, jazzy hair!

3.  She made exercising look sexy and fashionable in the Alexander Wang and H&M dress.  Pairing sneakers with this sporty dress was genius.  It showed the dress’ versatility.  The fact that her hair swung perfectly while she was running, makes us want to kidnap her and demand she tells us her hair secrets!

4. She color blocks effortlessly but fiercely!  Check out her purple pencil skirt and turquoise heels below.

5.  She fuses edgy with classy and makes it work.

6.  She is not afraid to mix a little color in her wardrobe every now and then.

Fly Girl Mentality

A faux leather, metallic cap?  Don't mind if we do!  We love any type of fashion that represents a hip hop vibe, and this cap does just that.  It was only right that we paired this cutie with a bold red lip, a gold chain, and some outlandish gold hoops - the ultimate "around the way" girl style.

Check out the other cool colors that are available on!

Don't Disturb this Groove..

We are suckers for sexy-cool outfits, especially the ones that channel the 90s era.  Anything that's cute and comfortable has our vote! Sometimes a girl just wants to be chill and keep it fresh.  In that case, the outfit below is what you need.  It's subtle but speaks volumes.  To create this outfit, we grabbed a Chokolat Creme Crop Sweatshirt, some joggers from Wal- Mart, Timberlands and boom - a chic outfit was born.  Check it out!

Solange is Art

This is breathtaking.  This is much more than fashion; this is art. Solange knows just how to stand out from a crowd and do her.  We are in awe.  Below are two pictures from her and Alan Ferguson's wedding this past weekend in New Orleans.  The first picture is of the jumpsuit she wore for her actual ceremony, and the other is of the dress she wore for her wedding photos.  If you love art and fashion, then you can appreciate Solange's perspective on both.

We are going crazy over this photo below.  It's so artistic and powerful.  Solange is definitely the MVP!  We love this dress she chose for her pictures.  It is non-traditional, and it covered her whole body.  This is a statement; especially in a time where being naked is popular.  Empower us Solange!

Exploring on a Casual Day...

Exploring the French Quarters, casually, in an H&M cardigan.

The weather was beautiful today; not too hot or too cold.  This type of weather called for a mixture of fall and summer wear.  Mixing seasonal fashion is popular in states like Louisiana and California.  When living in climates as such, do not put your summer gear away just because the fall season is upon us.  Keep it handy for days like this and mix it in with your fall gear.

Retro Print

Retro fashion is making a comeback this season, and we are loving the throwback prints and styles.  A lot of designers are channeling the 60s era with the mod prints and baby-doll dresses.  Designs that once looked outdated to us are now looking fashionable.  So think twice before you turn your nose up at a weird print.  With a little style technique, you can make it look chic!

Check out this Retro Night Dress by Chokolat Creme.  The print screams 1960s!

Stoic Fashion

Fashion is not only art, it is also a mechanism that allows you to transform into whatever you want to be at that moment.  Fashion can bring out the many facets you possess.  You do not have to own only one style, you can dominate many!  Just when the world thinks they have your style figured out, switch it up; keep 'em guessing!

Below is a simple way to rock the oversize trend.  Jeans, a crisp, white button-down, and boots go a long way in fashion; simple and cool.

Fashionably Fall Ready

You guys know by now that we are heavy into fall fashion.  We just can't get enough!  Every time we run across some fly, fall outfits we have to share it with you guys, in hopes of inspiring your fall wardrobe as well!  Check out our latest fall inspirations below!

We are a huge fan of the poncho/shawl look.  This staple piece can be dressed up or down.  We love the way the bombshell above paired it with thigh-high boots.

The knit sweater is back for this season.  Rocking it with some jeans and some boots creates a simple, sleek look.

The plaid blazer is a classic piece that can add a vintage flare to any ensemble.  It is perfect for the fall and winter weather.
If you are craving that bad-ass look for the fall, motorcycle jackets are the way to go.  These jackets are timeless and add so much funk to the simplest style.
One of the reasons why we love fall fashion so much is the coats!  Coats can cover up any bland shirt and turn your outfit into a statement!  It does not matter what you wear underneath a banging coat.  As long as your shoes are on point and the coat is fabulous then you have created a chic look.

Fly Fall Looks

We ran across a few fall looks that we just had to share with our followers.  These looks are simple and easy to pull off.  Check out three fabulous, fall looks below that will definitely turn heads.

1.  The layered look

Layering a shawl over your leather jacket and adding a scarf to top it off is so bag-lady chic!  The heels take this outfit to another level and give it that "rich girl" look.

2.  Oversize Coat
We are so in love with this look!  Simplicity is resounding as we always say....and this proves our point!  Distressed jeans, a white collar blouse, nice heels, a beanie, a banging bag, and a swank, oversize coat makes for the perfect ensemble in the fall.  We give this two thumbs up!
3.  Tights under Shorts
Just because the weather has changed does not mean you have to give up those cut-off shorts!  Throw some textured tights underneath them, find your favorite coat and scarf, and call it a fierce day!

A Colorful Life

Are we the only ladies guilty of wearing the color black on the majority of our fashion days?  Black is a neutral, beautiful color; however, branching out and adding an array of bright colors to your wardrobe is fun and it gives you the ability to create many different looks.

We ran across a few outfits on, and we were instantly attracted to the colors.  This fall, we are making an effort to expand our color palette and mix and match shades that are not normally seen together such as greens and blues and pinks and purples.  We are colorfully inspired!

Stay Warm and Chic...

We have two favorite staples for the fall season (out of 100): the poncho and the shawl.  Ponchos and shawls are perfect for staying warm while looking savvy.  You know we are fans of versatile fashion, and these two knits fit in that category. You can throw either one on with tennis shoes or flats, or you can dress them up with your most fierce pair of stiletto boots or heels.  Either way, they are super stylish.

These simple, statement pieces go well with just a t-shirt and jeans.  This is effortless fashion at its best.

Flower Child

Denim + necessary!  When wearing prints, some of us are guilty of trying to find a certain color in that print to match our other garment with.  Well, get rid of that stress because you do not have to match all the time.  A print worn with a solid color that does not match any color in the print works well in most fashion situations.  For instance, a denim shirt is something like a neutral color.  Wearing it with this black and white flower, print skirt helps to keep the outfit simple and allows the skirt to be the focal point of the ensemble.  Check it out.

As we preach often, when in doubt - keep it simple, but do not forget to do you and be fashionably liberated!
Happy Shopping!
